Saying hi, glad to find you guys... finally putting my toe in this water.
Asking for assistance, because Google is giving me a ton of sites, but can't tell me who is good vs who just has money to pay for a better link placement.
I am looking for classes on Jûjutsu, Krav Maga and/or Jeet Kune Do in the Louisville KY area, the emphasis being on self defense. I have no interest in competitions (seems to be the main point of the place my sis took Tae Quan Do) or anything like that - just practical application.
Who all here is local to me and who do you like in town?

Wed, February 11, 2009 - 2:37 AMBest way to find a school is to sit in a class unannounced and watch.
Also, the head teacher-unless he's the very top top rank which is rare-should have a teacher himself that comes by the school
once in awhile to teach him and his dojo.
Try goggling some of the teachers at some of the schools you found.
I know my teacher has an excellent reputation and it seems when people ask who teaches me and I say his name-they are like oh, I know him-he's an excellent, etc. teacher.
